What is Hastelloy C-276
Hastelloy C-276 is a Ni Mo CR superalloy added with tungsten, which has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of harsh environments. The high content of Ni and Mo makes the Ni steel alloy particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environment, while CR transfers the performance of anti-oxidation medium. Low carbon content can reduce the precipitation of carbides in the welding process, so as to maintain the corrosion resistance of the welding structure. This nickel alloy is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitation in the HAZ, so it is suitable for most chemical process applications under welding conditions.

What is Formula of Equal Tee Weight
When purchasing butt-welded pipe fittings, you need to calculate the weight of butt-welded tees to check land and sea transportation costs. How many trucks and containers do we need? How do you get weight, you might ask? Now we’re going to show you two ways.
The first method is to calculate the weight of equal diameter tee of butt weld by formula. Honestly, this is probably the most basic and unique approach. See below.
The formula is: 0.02466*(S+1.5)*[D-(S+1.5)]*(3C-D/2)/1000
- S= Wall Thickness in mm
- D= Outside Diameter in mm
- C= Length*[Out Diameter-(Thickness+2)]*(Thickness*2)*0.02466*Length, the unit is mm.
It is very complex and requires many specific values to evaluate. Without a detailed size table, it is difficult to calculate the weight of butt welding tees.
To make your job easy and comfortable, we will provide you with values.

Equal Tee Weight Calculation by Chart
The second way is to use a graph. It’s as simple as using a calculator, the only drawback is that you can only get a certain size of weight. But it is more useful than we thought because even butt-welded tees have a large size range and the regular sizes are included in the diagram. Weight can be easily and quickly obtained based on wall thickness and diameter.
