ASTM B862: Titanium & Titanium Alloy Welded Pipes
ASTM B862 covers 33 grades of titanium & titanium alloy: Grades 1, 2, 2H, 3, 5, 7, 7H, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 16H, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 26H, 27, 28, 29, 33, 34, 35, 37, and 38. The Ti or Ti alloy welded pipe shall be made from annealed flat-rolled products by a welding process. Filler metal, if used, shall be produced to AWS A5.16 employing the ER Ti-X grade listed in Table 5.
Grades 1, 2, 2H, 7, 7H, 11, 13, 14, 16, 16H, 17, 26H, 33, and 37 shall be furnished as welded or annealed; Grades 3, 12, 15, and 34 shall be furnished as annealed; Grade 5, Grade 23, Grade 24, Grade 25, or Grade 35 shall be furnished as annealed, or aged; Grade 9, Grade 18, or Grade 38 shall be furnished as annealed; Grade 19, Grade 20, or Grade 21 shall be furnished as solution treated, or solution treated and aged.
ASTM B338: Titanium & Titanium Alloy Seamless & Welded Tubes
ASTM B338 covers 28 grades of titanium and titanium alloy tubing intended for surface condensers, evaporators, and heat exchanges. They are Grades 1, 2, 2H, 3, 7, 7H, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 16H, 17, 18, 26, 26H, 27, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38.
ASTM B861: Titanium & Titanium Alloy Seamless Pipes
Seamless pipes of ASTM B861 are manufactured for general corrosion resisting and elevated temperature service. It covers 34 grades of titanium & titanium alloy: Grades 1, 2, 2H, 3, 5, 7, 7H, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 16H, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 26H, 27, 28, 29, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38. It can be furnished with butt welding ends, plain ends and threaded ends. The wall thickness conforms to ASME B36.10 or ASME B36.19.
Titanium seamless pipes of ASTM B381 can be either cold drawn or hot rolled. cold worked pipe shall be heat treated at a temperature of not less than 1000°F (538°C). Hot worked pipe finishing above 1400°F (760°C) need not be further heat treated. The minimum heat treat conditions for Grade 9, 18, and 28 pipe delivered in the stress relieved.

Seamless pipes of Grade 5, Grade 23, Grade 24, Grade 25, Grade 29, Grade 35, or Grade 36 may be supplied in annealed or aged condition; Grade 9, Grade 18, Grade 28, or Grade 38 may be supplied in cold-worked and stress-relieved or annealed condition; Grade 9, Grade 18, Grade 23, Grade 28, or Grade 29 may be supplied in transformed-beta condition; Grade 19, Grade 20, or Grade 21 may be supplied in solution-treated or solution-treated and aged condition.
