Some commonly used formulas for calculating the weight of metal materials
In all the following units, the length is mm, and the weight is g.
1. Steel bar weight (grams) = 0.00617 × diameter × diameter × length
Example: The following is a round bar with a diameter of 8.0MM and a length of 100MM.
Its weight is.
- 0.00617*8*8*100=39.488g
(i.e. 0.039488KG, with the current unit price of 4.6 yuan/kg, the price of the round bar material is 0.0039488*4.6=0.18 yuan).
The following and so on, no more examples:
- 2. Hexagonal steel weight (g) = 0.0068 × width of the opposite side × width of the opposite side × length
- 3. Square steel weight (g) = 0.00785 x side width x side width x length
- 4. Weight of octagonal steel (g) = 0.0065 × width of the opposite side × width of the opposite side × length
- 5. Rebar weight (g) = 0.00617 × calculated diameter × calculated diameter × length
- 6. Angle weight (g) = 0.00785 × (side width + side width – side thickness) × side thickness × length
- 7. Flat steel weight (g) = 0.00785 × thickness × side width × length
- 8. Steel pipe weight (g) = 0.02466 × wall thickness × (outside diameter – wall thickness) × length
- 9. Steel plate weight (g) = 7.85 × thickness × area
